We Are seeking experienced Electrical Spotters (Safety Observers) for casual placements on civil, infrastructure and utility projects across Queensland.
Key responsibilities
• Act as the designated safety observer for plant and work carried out near overhead powerlines and underground electrical services
• Monitor exclusion zones and approach distances for excavators, cranes, tip trucks, concrete pumps and EWPs
• Direct operators and stop work immediately where a breach of an exclusion zone is likely
• Attend pre-start meetings and toolbox talks and brief operators on the services in play
• Report hazards, incidents and near misses to the site supervisor and to KPI
What we're looking for
• Electrical safety observer / spotter training for work near overhead and underground electrical services
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Prior spotting or safety observer experience on civil, infrastructure or utilities projects
• Ability to read site plans and BYDA plans and interpret exclusion zones
• Fit for physically demanding outdoor work, long periods on your feet, all weather conditions
• Reliable transport, current driver licence
• Right to work in Australia
• Available for casual work and willing to travel across Queensland, including regional and remote projects
